I have a wide range of experience from beginner to advanced standard over my 30 years of teaching. I teach students from age 7 to 70. I am available to teach through mediums including face to face and online. I also teach with the Malahide School of Music, Dublin.
Apart from teaching syllabus exam requirements & technique, I ensure that enjoyment is at the forefront of my lessons in order to bring out the musical ability and potential that is within each student.
I am a fully qualified Oboe Teacher holding a Licentiate of Trinity College of Music, London, Teaching Diploma. I also hold the Principals Prize from DIT Conservatoire of Music where I studied under Albert Soliveres, during which time I was a winner of many competitions including the Feis Ceoil.
My orchestral experience is vast, having played Oboe & Cor Anglais with numerous orchestras & bands throughout Ireland including the RTE National Symphony Orchestra & the RTE Concert Orchestra. I have also performed solo for RTE Television & for The President of Ireland in Dublin Castle & Iveagh House.
I look forward to welcoming any new students of any level.
