Sophie Kirkby

Sophie Kirkby is a 23-year-old vocalist and music educator from Cork, She graduated from the MTU Cork School of Music in 2025 with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music, specialising in vocals. During her studies, she focused on vocal pedagogy under Dr. Trish Rooney in her final year as well as studying music therapy in her third year. Sophie has a real passion for teaching vocals, beginners piano, musicianship, and is committed to making each lesson a positive, fun and encouraging experience where students feel supported and leave with a smile. A lifelong country music lover, she released her debut single in November and regularly performs at venues across Cork. Outside of music, Sophie enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two beloved dogs.
